Does family shape one's identity?

Family in many ways shapes peoples’ lives, it shapes who they are, how they act, and their values, and especially on their identity. Your identity is the only thing you have to show the world who you really are. But, where does one’s identity come from? Your identity comes from your family. Your family shapes who you are from the moment of birth till until the age of eighteen, and even then they can still shape who you are no matter what age, but those first eighteen years of your life are what they shape your identity. What and how you believe, what your values are, etc, all of these are some of the things that our family can shape our identity. But how does family shape one’s identity or more important why does it shape one’s identity?

collaboration

Collaboration? There are many benefits of collaboration as well as disadvantages. The benefits of collaboration is that you are working with people as a team or group to get the work done for a class, project, etc. It helps you get more involved with people, it establishes better communication, you learn better of what is being taught and if you don’t understand something you have your group to help you. The disadvantages of collaboration are that maybe you can’t work well with your group, meaning they might not be interested in getting the work done, or they might be talking about something else and not focusing on the subject.

Home

Home. What is a home? Home can mean a lot things, it’s a place where one feels comfortable being who they are, a place where they can express themselves. It’s the family who you live with, share with, and communicate with; where everyone gets together at the dinner table and share funny stories and they are the ones who you can trust and rely on. Home are the friends who you share the laughter and joy with. The home can be anywhere you want it to be, it can be anything or anyone. But to me this is what home means to me, my family and friends.
